I just love it when my life gets busy. I seem to be making up for the previous two years of enforced inactivity with a sudden flurry of things.
At the moment, it looks as if I shall be going to the states for the last week of August before Labor Day weekend. My DIL is planning to go back to work on Sept 12th, and I'd like to see her as well as the baby. She's nice. My Integration courses start on the 12th of Sept, as well. These are going to tie up 4 days/week for the next year. Of course, I will have to miss part of the first week, as we have to go to England for my niece's baptism for the 18th. Since we both have Other People to see in the UK, we're either going to go for the week before or the week after as well as that weekend....
Busy, busy, busy. (Also $$$ !)
I spent half an hour on the phone with Erin a while ago regaling her with horror stories of my son's infancy and toddlerhood. "Did he tell you about the time he stuck the hotdog up his nose? He didn't? Well....." Hee hee. I like being a Grandmother.
So, anyway. I should be sewing, and I need to go to the store, too.
EDIT: Okay. NOT going to the states in August. Fares are nearly $1000, and with needing to spend at least half that in the UK in mid-September, we just can't afford it. Maybe the first or second week in October, depending on how many of my Integration classes I can miss without killing me. (considering I already have a grasp of basic dutch and some knowledge of Dutch history, that might not be a problem).
